
π¬ Creating a Mailbox
A Mailbox stores voicemails for departments, or call flows.
You can choose a custom greeting, decide how long messages are stored, and notify users by email whenever a new voicemail is received.

βοΈ How to Create a Mailbox
Go to Dial Plans β Mailboxes.
Click the green β Add button in the upper-right corner.
Fill in the Mailbox settings:
Name the mailbox:
Give your mailbox a clear and descriptive name (e.g., Sales Voicemail or Support Mailbox).Mailbox number:
Create your own unique mailbox number (for example,5500).This number will be used for internal access.
By default, voicemailboxes are accessible via the prefix
1233, followed by your mailbox number.β For example: dialing
12335500from a fixed device lets you access this voicemailbox β provided you have permission (see below).Pincode (optional):
Add a PIN code as an extra security measure.Only users who know this PIN and have permission can access the mailbox by dialing in.
Retention period:
Decide how long voicemails are stored (default: 7 days).Greeting sound:
Choose or upload a custom greeting message.Extra email (optional):
Enter an additional email address to receive copies of new voicemails.
This is in addition to any users added under permissions.
π₯ Adding Permissions
You can assign permissions to specific users who need access to this mailbox.
Select the user from the dropdown list.
Assign permissions:
β Manage β allows the user to listen, delete, and manage voicemails, both in the UC panel and via a fixed device.
β Notify via email β sends an email when a new voicemail is received. The voicemail message is attached as an MP3 file.
Click the β icon to apply the permissions.
